Google Calendar, available at www.google.com/calendar is their latest salvo against rivals such as Yahoo and Microsoft, unveiling a free online calendar service. The web calendar lets people store appointments, receive reminders and share schedules with others across the internet.

Users can type in events such as “pub 7pm tonight”, and the calendar will automatically schedule the event, allowing you to make it private or available for viewing by friends or even the whole web.
